Rather expected game when 5th rankedHatillo (4-6) was smashed by second ranked Cangrejeras (8-3) in Santurce 90-69 on Saturday. Santurce dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hatillo 's 28. Santurce looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) supported her with 18 points. Five Cangrejeras players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American guard Essence Booker (173-1999, college: UNLV) did not help to save the game for Hatillo . The former international center Sofia Roma (188-1996, college: Duke) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cangrejeras have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion used an opportunity after Moca lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Hatillo lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Monarcas.
